Carlos Ramos is a CalArts-trained artist, storyteller, and animation director with over two decades of experience shaping iconic characters and bold visual worlds.

He’s the creator behind several original series for Nickelodeon, including The X’s, Twins Crimson, A Dog and His Boy, and the cult classic ChalkZone. Most recently, Carlos brought his design talents to Warner Bros.’ Minecraft, directed the premiere episode of FOX’s The Great North, and served as Head of Story for the animated feature Smallfoot.

Carlos has also taught Story and Character Design at CalArts, mentoring a new generation of animation voices. Outside of television and film, his fine art has been exhibited in contemporary galleries across the U.S. and abroad, including Corey Helford Gallery, Copro Gallery, and The Bristol Museum & Art Gallery.
